Frequently asked questions.
What is VDOTX building?
VDOTX is developing accelerator IP, a ternary crossbar compute fabric, and a hardware-aware compiler for local edge-AI inference.
Is production silicon available today?
No. VDOTX is in a pre-silicon development and validation stage. Current work includes architecture, RTL, compiler integration, FPGA bring-up, and design-partner discussions.
Are the performance figures final specifications?
No. Power, latency, reliability, and performance language describes design targets unless a result is explicitly identified as measured. Representative benchmark results will be published after validation.
Who should contact VDOTX?
Potential design partners, hardware OEMs, foundries, research institutions, investors, prospective team members, and media can use the contact page.
How does local inference improve privacy?
Processing data near its source can reduce the amount of raw sensor data sent over a network. Complete privacy still depends on the final product, software, system configuration, and operating practices.
Is TapeOut a real semiconductor-design tool?
No. It is an educational puzzle inspired by routing, vias, layers, timing, and design-rule checks. It does not validate production layouts.
Where is VDOTX based?
VDOTX Semiconductors Private Limited is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
